 VDE+Images combines the best
features of Viking’s ImagEntry and VDE data entry software, allowing you to key from unstructured
documents, such as wholesale lockbox and land title records, with one software package.
VDE+Images has features to eliminate data errors at the character, field,
and record levels. All Viking products feature double-key verify. This feature is not available
in many other Windows applications, but it remains the best way to ensure accurate data.
Typical key-from-image software is designed for use with documents that are similar in structure
and layout (such as insurance claim forms and loan applications). Yet, 80% of all documents used
in business are unstructured. VDE+Images is the only software designed
for keying from images of free-form documents, found in applications such as land records,
litigation support, document indexing, accounts payable, and wholesale lockbox.
Typical forms-processing software allows one data record for each image – a one-to-one
relationship. VDE+Images lets you have one-to-one, one-to-many,
many-to-one, or many-to-many relationships between data records and images.

Hardware requirements

A basic PC with Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME or
Windows NT is sufficient for the client workstation. High powered workstations are unnecessary.
VDE+Images will work with any network, including
Windows NT and Novell. The size of the monitor needed depends on the applications.
